Please note that I am a certified yoga teacher, not a medical professional. I do not have training as a doctor of medicine, physical therapist, or yoga therapist, or any other heath care professional.
It is outside the scope of my practice to:
Touch or make manual adjustments
Provide mental health counseling
Diagnose aches and pains
Prescribe a specific pose, breathing technique, supplement, or diet to treat a medical condition
Recommend a specific diet, cleanse, food, or supplement
I do have training in providing a safe experience in slow, mindful yoga that can support your health goals and complement the work that you might be doing with a health care professional.
As a certified yoga teacher and educator, it is within my scope of practice to:
Design yoga sequences and programs according to the needs of my students.
Educate, coach, and provide general information.
Advise a student to seek medical attention as necessary.
Receive clearance from a student’s medical provider to ensure student safety.
Confer with referring medical providers.
Promote yoga to improve general health.
As with any movement and breath practice and training, I cannot guarantee specific results, and you are responsible for ensuring that you stay within the limits of what feels comfortable and pain-free for you.
