Consider Yoga seeks to introduce the life-enriching potential of regular yoga practice to individuals who, though they are interested, have concluded that yoga is somehow “not for them.”We are here to furnish them with the philosophy, individualized training, and the support they need to integrate this practice into their busy lives.
Among our core values are lifelong learning, service and respect to others, balance between mind, body and spirit, and unshakeable integrity balancing our business mission with the needs of our communities.
Our vision is to develop and disseminate highly individualized yoga education and training through innovative delivery methods to an ever-expanding audience of yoga practitioners.
Consider Yoga is a project (a dba) of LS Education Enterprises, LLC.
LS Education Enterprises, LLC was founded in 2017 as an educational consulting company, growing out of my work with community college faculty around learner-centered, outcome-based curriculum design and delivery. It is based on the work of The Learning Organization, for which I am a consultant, co-author, and assistant editor of its 6-book series, The Outcome Primers Series 2.0.
The mission statement written in 2017 stated:
Our mission is to make a permanent, positive difference in the employment and personal lives of community college students by ensuring that their instructors and administrators are totally focused on the learning outcomes required by employers, as well as the outcomes required to produce students who are fully motivated and engaged citizens and lifelong learners.
Among our core values are commitment to lifelong learning; service to, and respect for others; and unshakeable integrity balancing our business mission with the needs of the community we live in.
The pandemic which began in 2020 curtailed my activities with community colleges, and I began to focus exclusively on the vision of Consider Yoga. My belief is that what I offer through education and training in slow, mindful yoga is urgently needed as we deal with the after effects of the pandemic and the traumatic effects on our nervous systems, as well as the high incidence of chronic conditions in this country which take their toll on people as we age.
